These terms apply when you give or pay through a page, form or invoice that an organization sends you through Bricks.
1. Who you are paying
The organization named on the page is the recipient of your payment. It is responsible for its campaign, how it uses the funds, any restriction or designation it accepts, what it says about tax deductibility, and its receipts and refunds. Members Collect, Inc., doing business as Bricks, provides the organization's software. Stripe processes your payment, and the payment goes directly to the organization's Stripe account.
2. Recurring gifts
Before you authorize a recurring gift, the page shows its amount and how often it repeats. Your receipt includes a link to manage the gift, where you can change or cancel it at any time. Cancelling stops future payments; it does not refund earlier ones.
3. Fees
If the page offers to let you cover the processing cost, the amount is shown before you pay, and covering it is your choice.
4. Designations and tax deductibility
If you designate your gift to a fund or purpose, the organization decides how to honor it under its own policies. Whether your gift is tax-deductible depends on the organization and the law. The organization's receipt states what it can.
5. Refunds, questions and disputes
Questions about a payment, designation, receipt, refund or use of funds should go to the organization. If you do not recognize a charge, please contact the organization before disputing it with your card issuer or bank.
6. Your information
The organization receives the information you give on the page. Bricks handles it as the organization's service provider, and Stripe handles payment information under its own privacy policy. Our Privacy Policy explains more.
